So much for keeping up with this every week!!
Week 3 actually started on Saturday this week because we had a make-up training for the session we missed during Snowpocalypse 2011! This training was AWESOME!! Burned a ton of calories, but had a ton of fun! Travis set up stations where we had to do different exercises for 2 minutes, then rotate!! My favorite was definitely the station that Travis was holding the punching bag and blocking our way to a basket where we had to throw balls into. Our goal was to get around him... or knock him down!!
Our challenge this week was wall sits! I rocked out a 5:05 wall sit, but wasn't enough to come in first, as Maria and her tiny legs sat there for 10+ minutes(RIDICULOUS!) BUT.. Our team came in first, and that's all that matters!
I was REALLY afraid of weigh in this week (I'm starting to see a trend)... but I did all I could, and actually ended up losing 7.2 lbs (290.2), so I was very happy with week 3!!
Week 4 started out with a bang, when we had to do our challenge! This week's challenge, as many laps as you can do around the track in 15 minutes.. and if you remember from the first week, Indigo doesn't walk.. Indigo runs!! So I ran.. and I ran.. and I ran!! (And by running, I mean more of a jog)BUT... Here's the GREAT news... I ran a whole mile straight!! WOOOOO!! That would be doubling my last run of only 4 laps and make it a whole 8 laps!! I did it in 14:20! I felt like I could have kept going too, but with only 15 minutes in the challenge, I opted to walk my 9th lap because I wouldn't be able to get back around the track to make the 9th lap count!
I didn't feel great about this week tho... It wasn't my work outs.. Cause both Dorian and Travis killed us during our training sessions... But it was my eating! I was NOT good. We drove up to Minnesota for Blues and Rivermen games over the weekend, and I had very little motivation to be good (although I did end up bringing food and cooking several of my meals) And even when I got, for some reason, I couldn't get my head back into my full on nutrition game!!
At the weigh in, I ended up gaining 1.4 lbs (291.6) which made me feel like crap! I work TOO HARD at the gym to go home and just eat mindlessly... I'm still 290+lbs... I should be able to lose 4-5 lbs a week easily!! I NEED to remember that everytime I reach for something that I know I shouldn't!!
6 weeks left... 20.6lbs down... 41.6lbs to go!! That's nearly 7lbs per week! YIKES!! I CAN DO THIS!

BL Update Weeks 1+2
Starting weight: 312.2 (Total lost = 137.8)
I had put a little weight back on after going out and eating/drinking all weekend long before the weigh in.. But I was ok with this! With the ramped up workouts I knew it would come off pretty easily because most of it was water weight due to the stupid amounts of sodium in anything that tastes amazing!!
Work outs were ok for Week One! Day One we had to do our rope pull challenge and PT tests and that pretty much took all our time up! And it felt so good to do so well on my PT test! I don't really remember what I did for sit ups and push ups.. but that's not what made me happy anyways!!! I did do a 5:06 wall sit.. And that my friends is crazy! I thought my legs were going to fall off, but Travis assured me that its never happened before!
The part that makes me the proudest is running... For the PT test we had to run a 1/2 mile... 4 laps around the track?!?!? EEEKKK!!! I had NEVER done more than 2 laps running at a time.. and I thought I was going to die after that.. My absolute fastest 2 lap run was 2:48.. so Travis wanted me to do it in 6:30, even tho I thought that was pushing it cause I was planning on walking at least part of a lap to catch my breath before running the rest of the way! BUT... I got told by Travis and Dorian that Indigo doesn't walk.. Indigo runs!! So with intern Julie by side cheering me on and taking away all my bad thoughts, I ran.. and I ran.. and I ran some more (At least it felt like forever.. haha) AND I DID IT!!! And somehow, Travis pinned it pretty much right on the nose.. I ran it in 6:32!!!
Week One ended with a climb up Mt. Everest (Travis' KILLER workout) and a 12lb weight loss!! YAY! I've never lost that much in a week! Granted, some of it was water weight from my weekend splurge.. But a lot of it was eating right and kicking butt!!
Then came Week Two... I'm calling this the OFF WEEK!! Everyone on my team has been killing it tho!! Our challenge this week is Group Exercise classes! I've got in 12 this week even after having 2 days off from the gym! Snowpocalypse 2011 ruined my gym time on Tuesday and Wednesday.. But I still got a little bit of a calorie burn when I shoveled a whole lot of snow, and went sledding (steep hills with a foot of snow are a pretty good workout climb up them again and again!) Without my workouts and I wasn't fully on top of my nutrition game, I was soo afraid of my weigh in this week..............
But at weigh in, I ended up losing 2.8 lbs.. So I'm at a total of 14.8 lbs down in 2 weeks (That is OK with me!)
AND... The best thing.. I hit ANOTHER milestone this week!! I am FINALLY in the 200s!!!! 297.4 to be exact!!!! Gotta keep this up at a huge pace... I've got 2 major rewards once I hit 200lbs that I am super excited about doing!!! So its back to my game face... Super nutrition.. Super workouts.. And resting my body as much as possible so that when I do my workouts, I can give 110%!!!
"ALLL MY LIFFEE, I WANTED TO BE AN INDIGO GIRL!!!... We're not red team.. We're not blue team... We're not paprika... WE'RE INDIGO!!!!"
I love my team.. I love my trainers!!

Biggest Loser 2011
I'm rather excited! I know I won't be at my lowest weight tonight when I weigh in, mostly because this weekend was a full cheat weekend! But I didn't go completely wild! Just a few dinners and some drinks to tide those cravings over for at least 10 weeks!!! I weighed in this morning at 310, so I should be somewhere around there this afternoon! That's 140 down (but I know I'll take off those extra pounds real quick to get back to 150!!)
Its going to be a ROUGH 10 weeks! Travis and Dorian are my trainers and they've both told me that we don't even know whats coming for us... All I know, is that it will hurt, and yet feel SO good!! I've recently felt really good about my progress in running especially. My 1/4 mile time record was set at 2:58.. and in just two training sessions (We run it at the beginning) I cut my time to 2:52 and then 2:47!! I was beyond happy! And I know during these 10 weeks, it will only keep getting better!
My plan is to lose at least 50lbs by April 1st! That's 5lbs per week! If I stay on it with my nutrition, I should have NO problem doing that!! I'm really excited! I need the extra push to keep me going. Its not JUST me that is needing a big number.. but so is my team, and I'm all about winning!
So tonight is the night... the night where it all starts up again... I can't flipping wait! Let's go Purple/Blurple/Indigo/Sky Blue team!! (We aren't exactly sure what our color is supposed to be! haha!)

New Year, New Dedication!!
Its been a while friends! Sorry about that! Although, I feel like its hard for me to keep up the blog when I don't keep up with myself. I haven't been doing so hot on the whole diet scene! Yes, I have been keeping up at the gym! But for being at the gym as much as I am, and not losing weight, I know my diet has been WAY off! Now I'm not trying to make excuses for myself, cause I don't care if its the holidays, I KNOW what to eat.. I just simply chose not to do the right thing!
But Saturday is a new year... 2011! Time to get serious again... I feel like a broken record tho... I've probably said this at least 3 or 4 other times on here.. But this time, I won't cheat myself out of what I deserve!
I'm doing Biggest Loser again this year, and I am VERY excited about our team! Our team is actually a group of nearly all BL contestants from last year, another friend who has been working out with us for a while, and a friend of a friend! So, we're going to be AMAZING! Not to mention two awesome trainers (Travis and Dorian!) That said, we're going to have to train extra hard to keep up with all those folks that are just starting out! Their bodies are going to get a "shock" to their system since they haven't been working out... a shock that our bodies will not get!
The plan for BL is to lose 50lbs... 50lbs in 10 weeks... 5lbs a week! If I don't stray from my diet, I know that is super realistic!! I've done it before, I can do it again! So the planning starts now! Daily menus, strict weekly workout plans! My life will pretty much consist of cooking, eating right, and working out (With the obvious hockey and work mixed in there too!)
Tomorrow I'm finalizing my New Years Resolutions!! I'll have several, and they'll be pretty strict. What's the point in making an easy resolution?!?
2011 is the year I want to complete the first part of this journey (The losing part)!! With hard work and lots of dedication, I should have NO problem!!

DAY 7!!!
The Final day!! Day 7 of my Post-Thanksgiving Marathon!
Today's workout consisted of a 5K and 1/2 of Turbo Kick! I'm so sore!!

Travis and I after the race!
Jingle Bell 5K run went OK! The course was so-so.. When we were on streets, it was fine, but as soon as we hit the trail, they didn't clear it off well enough, so I didn't run much after the first like 1.5 miles!! And to think I came in maybe a minute or two off my pace from the Hot Chocolate Race... Now I wish I would have tried to run a bit on the snowy/slushy stuff!!! Travis ran with me.. so I at least had someone pushing me and making me run! I'm waiting for my final results, but I'm still proud of the race!!
Post-Race, I ran upstairs to catch the last 1/2 of Turbo Kick!! Amanda remixed it into Turbo Kick Extreme Round 2 (TKX2).. Lets just say its a killer!! I know I just ran a 5K and all.. but I'm pretty sure that I just wanted to pass out!! It's going to be a major calorie burner!! With that and the race, I was completely spent by the time I got home!!
So all in all, my Post-Thanksgiving Marathon went REALLY well!! I lost 5lbs and ran my second 5K, all while having a great time! And isn't that what it's all about... Having a great time?!? And I am VERY Thankful that tomorrow is my rest day!!

Day 6!!
Day 6 of 7 of my Post-Thanksgiving Marathon!!!
Today was great! Workouts were great (I had to do 10 push- ups because I was a smart-ass.. Opps) Food was on target! (Except I allowed myself a piece of pumpkin bread after dinner cause I wanted it)
I also decided to see how this week has been going weight wise.. so after my AM workout, I went down to the locker room to weigh in.. and WHAT DID I SEE ON THE SCALE?!!?
307
That's 5lbs down from when I weighed-in last Saturday!! WOOP WOOP! That excites me! Now to just keep it up!
Tomorrow, I'm running in my 2nd 5K!! Its the Jingle Bell Run for arthritis! Should be lots of fun! Except ONE THING... This is what it currently looks like outside:

And yes.. I have already shoveled my front walk and salted it!!
Several inches of snow already... and possibly a couple more before the race starts at 10AM tomorrow.. Not to mention temps in the upper 20's/low 30's!! YIKES!!
Here's to hoping I can stay warm and I don't slip on ice/snow!!

Day 5!!
Day 5 of 7 in my Post-Thanksgiving Marathon is here and pretty much gone!!
Workouts... Awesome!!
Food... AWESOME!!
I was right on track with my food today, except a little low on calories!! But that will be fine! It was balanced between carbs, protein, and fat (55%/25%/20%)... so that's all that matters to me!!
AM workout was training with James! PM workout was 1/2 of Turbo Kick.. (For some reason, my knees have been really bothering me, and I had to stop 1/2 way thru and rest them up).. and Power Hour with James! Made it thru Power Hour without a ton of pain!! Luckily we didn't do any lunges... But Thursday nights are crazy calorie burners with lots of running and stairs!!
As of right now... The Jingle Belle Run is looking questionable! We're supposed to get 1-3 inches of snow Friday night/Saturday morning! And I don't know about you... but I'd rather not go running in snow and break myself on a patch of ice! But, I'm currently hoping that the snow stops EARLY and then can clear the course of all ice and snow before the race starts!! I really want to run it (Even tho my mind is screaming NOOOOO)!!
